Accepted:
Your evidenced extension request has been approved. Your new deadline will now be visible in Moodle.
Further evidence requested:
You must provide additional evidence for your request to be approved. Examples of acceptable evidence can be found here. You will have 14 days to upload new evidence, or your request will be automatically rejected. However, if you do manage to obtain further evidence at a later date, you will be able to reapply.
Accepted - Deferral:
Accepted: Deferral is the standard outcome for all examinations and timed assessments.
This outcome will also be given for coursework when you have ticked the 'defer to a later opportunity' box at the bottom of the evidenced extension request form.
If you have received an Accepted: Deferral outcome for a coursework submission when you have selected a new deadline, unfortunately this means we could not accept the new date you asked for. This is because we must allow enough time for tutors to mark your assessments and administrative staff to process your grades ahead of the assessment board (the official meeting that confirms your results). Details on what to do next will be included in you end-of-year results. These will be displayed on MyResults via MyMMU. You can confirm the anticipated results release date for your course by logging into MyResults.
If you are a final year undergraduate student, you will still be able to attend Graduation if you have passed 60+ Level 6 credits.
However, you can contact the Student Hub for confirmation of the latest possible extension date for your coursework assignment. You will be able to amend your extension request to select an earlier date than you originally chose.
Accepted, but an earlier date given:
We have provided you with the maximum extension date possible. We have to allow enough time for tutors to mark your assessments and administrative staff to process your grades ahead of the assessment board (the official meeting that confirms your results).
However, if you’re not able to meet the new deadline, you can amend your original request by clicking on your evidenced extension outcome in the right-hand assessment column of the Moodle area affected, then select the ‘Defer to a later opportunity’ tick box when resubmitting your request.
This means you’ll have a chance to undertake your assessment later (usually during the reassessment period). Details on what to do next will be included in your end-of-year results.
Exam extensions:
The outcome for any accepted request relating to an exam, test, multiple choice test and similar practical assessments will be 'Accepted: Deferral.' This means you'll have a chance to undertake your assessment later (usually during the reassessment period). Details on what to do next will be included in your end-of-year results.
