Module marks with a weighted average of x.49 and below will be rounded down to the nearest integer. Those with a weighted average of x.5 and above will be rounded up to the nearest integer. This rounded number is the number that will appear on your final transcript.
There is no rounding applied when calculating your eligibility for a particular classification, so a student with a weighted average of 59.9, for example, will get a 2.2 rather than a 2.1 classification under the weighted average method of calculation, since 59.9 falls short of the 60% required for a 2.1 award.
If you are an undergraduate student or undertaking an Integrated Master’s Degree, you can use the Undergraduate Degree Classification Calculator, or if you are a Taught Postgraduate student, you can use the Taught Postgraduate Degree Classification Calculator, to estimate the degree you will be awarded based on your grades.
