If you fail a module, you will have one opportunity for reassessment, and you must resit every failed assessment within the module.

If you have not passed the year following reassessment, you will fail the course.

You would only be allowed a further attempt if you have an accepted evidenced extension or have been granted an additional opportunity as a result of a successful academic appeal. Please see our extension guidance for further information.

Please note that most foundation and year one students must pass 90 credits and achieve a 40% level average in order to pass the year, so if you have passed on this basis, you will not have reassessment opportunities in any failed assessments. If you have deferred assessments, you can submit a request for reassessment within seven days of results publication.
