To continue to the next level of study, Level 3 and 4 students need to:
- Achieve an average of 40% across the year, and
- Achieve pass marks in at least 90 credits
Level 5 students must pass (or achieve a compensated pass) in each module in order to continue to Level 6.
If you are on a professionally accredited programme, this may not apply to your programme as you will have specific regulations required by external regulators. Please check with your Programme Lead to find out the regulations that apply to your programme.
You only get one resit opportunity unless something outside of your control affected your performance. You can show this by having either an approved evidenced extension or an upheld academic appeal.
In certain circumstances, some students will be able to resit 30 credits at the start of the new academic year. This is only available to students who meet this criteria:
- Level 3, 4 and 5 students on most courses (some courses with early start dates are not eligible)
- You must still have a resit opportunity and not have failed the course
- You must be able to pass the year by resitting up to 30 credits
Eligible students will be contacted directly regarding this resit opportunity when results are released in September
